The famous trial Depp – Heard is now finished and we finally got an answer from the jury.
Johnny Depp has won a defamation claim against his ex-wife Amber Heard, whom he sued over domestic violence charges.
Amber Heard’s matrimonial remarks were found to be “false” and have “a defamatory implication” by the jury. They also discovered that she behaved with “true malice.” The court ordered that Amber Heard should pay Johnny Depp $15 million in damages, with $ 10 million in compensatory damages (to recompense the aggrieved party, Depp) and $5 million in punitive penalties (awarded to punish a wrongdoer, by Heard).
The court also decided that Amber Heard should receive $ 2 million in damages as a result of Depp’s lawyer, Adam Waldman, slandering her on one of three counts, but no money for punitive damages.
The decision ends a broadcast trial that Depp sought to preserve his reputation, despite the fact that it developed into a spectacle of a savage marriage. Throughout the trial, fans were strongly interested in the case, largely on Depp’s side.
