According to reports, Johnny Depp is eager to make another appearance on the big screen. In the French-language movie Jeanne du Barry, which will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival next month, the actor plays King Louis XV. Since the defamation case he and his ex-wife Amber Heard were involved in, he hasn’t had a movie role. According to a source close to Depp, Depp has been residing in Europe and concentrating on his career since the trial. On his involvement in the creation of “Jeanne du Barry,” the source added:
“The shoot was challenging, but Johnny is excited to be back. He thinks it’s perfect for this historical drama to open in Cannes.”
Depp has made the decision to settle in Somerset, England, where he recently spoke with the magazine “Somerset Living.” Johnny provided readers a picture of country life, but it didn’t sit well with Amber Heard’s followers. Once Heard lost the lawsuit, they quickly began to believe that Johnny Depp was boasting about his fortune. None of them have any notion how the actress’s life has been in Spain, but no one would assume that she is poor.
