Indeed, what design does is to get the viewer’s attention and so in this way will be able to communicate a specific message. Elements are the ones that makes the design look complete and to communicate. There are a variety of graphic design elements to consider when creating any visual work of art, whether it be for interior design, a logo, an advertisement, or web design.
- Color
Starting from color, we can say that its role is really important when it comes to mood communication. Color has the power to transform the room. It helps to portray mood, light, depth, and point of view. Designers use the color wheel and the tenets of color theory—a set of guidelines for mixing, combining, and manipulating colors—to create color schemes.
- Line
Lines are considered more than just points that are strung together. They depend on their form, weight, length and context so in this way lines can help organize information, define shapes, imply movement, and convey emotions. Also, lines create texture by incorporating different types of lines such as curved or patterned lines instead of just straight lines
- Space
Space in other words is known as the distance between and around furniture and objects. Using it in the right way can help others view your design as you intended. Spacing can separate objects or link them together. Narrow spacing between visual elements conveys that they have a strong relationship, while wider spacing communicates that they are less related.
There are two points of views regarding space, negative and positive one. Negative space is considered the space between around the focal point of an image. Positive space is considered the space occupied by visual elements that a designer wants their audience to focus on
- FORM
Form is the shape of the room along with the object that contains, starting with the furniture, artwork and decorative accessories. The key to create the perfect shape is to build a balance with natural shapes, which brings softness to an interior in contrast to the stronger geometrics.
- Texture
Texture is the feel of a surface, which can be furry, smooth, rough, soft, gooey or glossy. Tactile texture is a physical sense of touch, whether it’s rough, smooth, or ribbed. Visual texture, on the other hand, refers to the imagined feel of the illustrated texture, which can create more visual interest and a heightened sensory experience.
