Alec John Such, former bassist and founder of the legendary American rock band Bon Jovi, has died at the age of 70. The news was announced the day before on his social networks, Jon Bon Jovi.

“We are saddened by the death of our dear friend Alec,” wrote the American singer.

“As a founding member of Bon Jovi, he was an integral part of forming the group. To be honest, we found our way to each other through him. He was a childhood friend of Tico Torres and got Richie Sambora to see us perform. Aleku has always been wild and full of life. Now these special memories bring me a smile on my face and a tear in my eye. We will miss him a lot “, wrote Bon Jovie, among others.

During the collaboration with Alec John Such from 1983 to 1994, they brought hits like You Give Love a Bad Name, Livin ’on a Prayer and Bad Medicine.
